Terry Miller Concrete Tanks adheres to a strict code of ethics. Our commitment to the highest standards helps us hire great people, build great tanks, and attracts repeat customers. Trust and mutual respect among our employees and our customers are the foundation of our success. We specialise in underground tanks. Our underground tanks are guaranteed to take a minimum load bearing weight of 20 tonne or over one metre of fill. On our standard concrete top, the top of the tank is 180 mil thick, with heavy duty double reinforced S92 mesh, and N12 deformed bars are placed into the 6 to 8 poles which supply the strength to hold the top up.

We also specialise in underground concrete water tanks, with a concrete top. We guarantee that the top of the tank will tank a minimum load bearing weight of 20 tonne, or one metre of fill.
We use eight (8) Y12 deformed bars in each of the 8 poles which support the top of the tank. These poles are filled with concrete and vibrated.
The top of the tank concrete thickness is 190mil and so is the bottom, which slopes into a drain plug or sump. So if need be the tank can be cleaned out.
We have a 30 year warranty on all our tanks.
We are an Australian family company, going since 1983. My brother and I work together.
We guarantee that the concrete after 28 days of curing will test between 48 and 52mpa, which is more than our competitors do.
We use proper tank mesh, specially designed for concrete water tanks, made by Humes ARC, which flex around the wall. The mesh is five times dearer than s62 or s72 and s 82 mesh.
The silo roof is a proper heavy duty galvanised, pitched steel roof, not a flat roof. This roof weighs around half a tonne and a man can walk on top. This roof is rust proof.
The floor of the tank is sloped into a 90 mm (3.5″) drain plug, which enables the tank to be cleaned out thoroughly.
Above ground tanks are available with either a silo roof or an open top. We also do colorbond roofs on request.
All aspects of Terry Miller Concrete Tanks are built for strength, beginning with the assembly of the double layered mesh base with radial starter bars, through to the continuous pour, fully vibrated, 40MPa rated concrete. All tanks have a base thickness of 150mm and walls that are 125mm thick. Wooden blocks are used to support the inner wall off the base, so a seamless, continuous concrete pour is achieved, further strengthening our tanks. These wooden blocks are removed when the floor of the tank is poured.
Heavy mesh and starter bars mean a stronger tank. The quantity and strength of the mesh used is dependent upon the final load bearing weight of the tank. More mesh is used if the concrete top needs to take more weight.
